What you have is imaginative and layered, but as an “About” page it’s currently hard to follow. An About page should orient new readers quickly, then hint at the depth. Right now, it reads more like internal lore notes than an introduction.
Here’s a cleaner, structured version that keeps your ideas but makes them readable and engaging:
About Inked Path Comics
Inked Path Comics is a layered webcomic universe built as a “puzzle box” of interconnected stories, known on the site as fiefdoms. Each fiefdom stands on its own, but together they form a larger narrative system where characters, ideas, and events echo across worlds.
At its core, Inked Path began with a simple concept: a weekly comic rooted in strange conversations, hidden systems, and overlooked perspectives. From that starting point, it expanded into a multi-series experience blending humor, mystery, and experimental storytelling.
The First Fiefdom: Away-Ink (No Tapping)
The foundation of the site begins with Away-Ink, centered on a controlled environment known as “No Tapping.” Beneath an ordinary pet store lies a contained world—a tank that, to its microscopic inhabitants, is vast and limitless.
These engineered “pets,” created by the company OEB, live under observation in a system that mirrors a staged reality. Unknown to them, unseen watchers influence their thoughts and journeys, turning their world into something between experiment and entertainment.
This fiefdom establishes the tone of Inked Path: layered realities, hidden control, and stories within stories.
Expanding the World
As the site grew, new fiefdoms added perspective and depth:
- The Clone Did It follows reporter Jenny Homes as her investigations uncover strange events, missing persons, and buried histories. What begins as journalism slowly reveals a much larger network of connections.
- Amongst the Frames shifts into the surreal, where a dog and rabbit—Steel and No—gain the ability to influence others in a transformed woodland. Their story explores control, perception, and unseen power.
- The Quibbles of the Scribbles acts as a meta-layer, featuring recurring puppet characters who interpret, connect, and sometimes disrupt the other fiefdoms. This series ties the larger narrative together, turning the entire site into a conceptual puzzle.
The Puzzle Box Format
Inked Path Comics is designed as a rotating system of stories, much like a modern take on a newspaper’s comic page. Alongside the core fiefdoms are additional series:
- Late to the Party – Absurd, winding explanations for everyday lateness.
- Rovacsa – Short-form visual puzzles with humor and hidden meaning.
- Used or Not – Art-focused pieces exploring perception and interpretation.
- Puzzlement – Wordless visual challenges that invite readers to reconstruct meaning.
These works shift in placement and presentation, reinforcing the idea that the site itself is part of the experience.
A Connected System
Characters, themes, and even visual elements cross between fiefdoms—sometimes directly, sometimes subtly. Readers may notice recurring figures, overlapping events, or altered versions of the same idea.
Nothing exists entirely in isolation.
The Goal
Inked Path Comics isn’t just a collection of strips—it’s an evolving system designed to be explored, questioned, and pieced together. Whether read casually or deeply analyzed, each visit offers a different path through the work.
Welcome to the puzzle box.
If you want, I can tighten it further (short version), make it more comedic, or lean harder into mystery depending on the tone you want visitors to feel in the first 10 seconds.
How it started for the inked path of comics. For the AI now the human touch.

The pointed conversation of the bench and then the opening of the store, and off and away to the basement, once the back room where the three shadows sit watching and waiting for the day’s report with the two trisect of OEB. The group watches over the tank OEB kept just below the pet store of NO Tapping. inside said tank, there are Pets like above, but treated as a Truman Show. where the three shadow lark about and ensnare the minds of the pets of the tank, travel far from the main kept town. The tank is 24 feet by 18 feet. sounds like a small footprint, yes. But to a pet that is an average of 7 micrometers tall, the space is quite big. this the basis of a string called Away-ink on the Inked Path of the Comics website, inkedpath.com

The layered approach of the comic is different in its own right. The bench was the beginning of the week run for the fiefdom, “No Tapping.” A web comic strip where the engineered pets were made by a company called OEB. Until two of the employees decide that the pets considered to be a mistake could be sold for profit and pitched to the board. The fiefdom became a shine that overtook the offshoot comic Brokeuguy of the fiefdom Away Forward Ink the Path. The string that ran for a winter made the mind bend to the will of the two comics being one, then the La tinta comic, also running, was becoming a hard-to-understand fiefdom for a balance to be kept, too. So the layer approach of the three comics became the thought system to make it all work. This is the way the Fiefdom of Away-ink was made.

Now the site calls this a fiefdom for those coming to read the work. It’s one of eight fiefdoms on the website. It was the first one to be present in the stumbling work of the humorist of the site. The site grew from another one, and the build of the site took shape on Squarespace and moved to another for the wp.org, ease of building.
Now, the secondary fiefdom of inked path of comics is The Clone Did It. This fiefdom follows the career of Jenny Homes and reports that build the career of the young reporter of So”Em media. The more work done by the reporter, the more the fiefdom grows. In the first report, the Puppet was a bad dancer. The second was of five people going missing. and the trial of the report became attached to a yarn of the years forgotten by living memory. Then off to the city of Watergate, Ecuans for this fiefdom. where the family of the Lumps is introduced for the readers, the connections to the world are starting to build out from the Club MJ Bar and Rap group of fame for the orb. A founding member of the group that goes by the stage name Wise Man is starting to build an entertainment company. That shows a deeper connected history.

Now, the next Fiefdom to be covered is Amongst the Frames. It is a odd ball fiefdom to be explained for the inked path of comics. The main characters to be followed in the strings of this comic are a dog and a rabbit known by the names Steel and No. In the receptive order given. The two are awaking to the power given in the woods on a night when the raven woods changed forever. The ability to puppeteer those living in or visiting the cabin in the woods is shown, along with other skills.
Now and then, Amongst the Frames fiefdom crosses over to the next fiefdom of the commentary by three puppets and a single human. Now these puppets appeared in the other fiefdoms mentioned so far. A helping hand to the starting point of the fiefdoms on the inked path of comics. Known as The Quibbles of the Scribbles Dusty, Bessie, Bard, and Empiric, in the respective order given earlier. Are here to be wilder and help the site rank higher. By tying the meaning of each of the fiefdoms shown as a web comic strip into a single meaning in the puzzle box of work. Through using dreams and the meaning given by dermatologists to rank for a keyword. Then again the secondary part of the name is not just glossed over anymore. perplexed joined as the scribbles and a game of spot the difference for the readers, where it also gets a color version after the black and white game pieces.

With those four fiefdoms of eight, the next four are the bonus work at one point. They would run once a week in a shuffling placement with, Amongst the Frames. Now that it’s a single post a week, it all forms a new style of the funny page the newspaper once had. Now called a puzzle box.
The next fiefdom is Late to the party. The excuse of the reason for lateness is a convoluted string for the mind, at least, that is the hope. A cook shows up for work to make the bread for the day to be sold.

Or at the night job, ghost hunting is a frightening experience. Then the fiefdom of Rovacsa, a single panel or three panels, presents a small story to solve and laugh at. Then there is the tour, better known as the used or not fiefdom. Olsen is the artwork master given art the explained feeling and viewing of the art. Two of the three have a character that was clipped from the splitting of the work of Away-Ink. Olsen, in the Used or Not, and Fluffy, a dust bunny of La Tinta, now of Rovacsa. While the puppets have also appeared in the Used or Not comics, it just glosses over the fact that it even happened.

So far, only two fiefdoms have not had the puppets. Rovacsa and Late to the party. And last but not least, Puzzlement is the last fiefdom. a wordless set of art pieces. Unless taking by Used or Not’s, lazy ways. Cut into pieces and twisted about by digital means. The art is turned into a puzzle for the mind. If the piece can be connected back to the first, that is the featured image of the puzzle box.
